Reading and building a simple bar graph
Students survey the class on a favorite fruit, tally the answers, build a bar graph, and answer questions about which bar is tallest.
Students will be able to
- Organize a class survey into a tally chart and a bar graph.
- Answer how-many-more and how-many-fewer questions from the graph.
Standards
- Aligned to CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.D.10 — Draw a picture or bar graph to represent a data set and solve simple compare problems from it.
